More than 400 triathletes and aquathletes from as many as 20 countries are coming to compete in the Falkensteiner Resort Punta Skala near Zadar on October 1.

September, 23rd 2022. - An unusual mixture of a hedonistic experience in a five-star resort and masochistic effort in a race with a total length of 113 kilometers, perfect organization and a challenging course make this race unforgettable and unmissable in the calendar of world triathletes and aquathletes. Everything is ready for the ninth edition of Zadarhalf in Falkensteiner Resort Punta Skala on Saturday, October 1. The race includes an unimaginable challenge for many - swimming 1900 meters, cycling 90 kilometers and running 21.2 kilometers, with the start and finish in front of the Fortis club, a multifunctional sports center in the resort.

"This year, as in the past, we have the motive to organize a top sports event in an age when, due to the circumstances in the world, it is not easy to do so. Last year, despite the storm that made the final preparations difficult days before the race, we succeeded in this plan, so I have no doubt that we will do the same again this year. Our participants love this race because it is an excuse to spend a dream weekend at the Falkensteiner Resort Punta Skala, which is our host, and we have to thank the city of Zadar and the tourist associations of the city of Zadar and Zadar County, the Petrčane settlement, the MUP and all the volunteers for the support in the organization of the competition", said Zlatko Parać, the director of the race.

Along with the main race in the medium-long triathlon, there will also be an aquathlon (swimming and running) for children and young people. 400 triathletes and aquathletes will perform, and athletes come from as many as 20 countries.

"Permeation of sustainable, ecological concepts and an active, healthy life - our goal is to continue to develop Punta Skala as a unique sports and ecological resort that has recently also received the EU Ecolabel certificate, an exceptional confirmation of ecological efficiency. In this sense, the Zadarhalf triathlon has a unique meaning for us, it has become our trademark. We are particularly pleased that this has been recognized by many world-renowned athletes who are happy to return for vacation or come here for their professional training," said Georg Unterkircher, general manager of Falkensteiner Resort Punta Skala.

For those who want top-quality training before the race itself, the ZadarHalf Triathlon Training Camp by "Adriatic Coaching" is organized from September 24 to 30. The trainings will cover all three triathlon disciplines in small groups, so that each athlete gets as individual an approach as possible. The head coach of the camp is the famous Croatian triathlete Dejan Patrčević - Ironman Pro athlete and two-time finisher of the PRO category of the Ironman World Championship at KONA-Hawaii.
